CSA is a relationship between a farm and community members. It gives you direct access to high quality, fresh produce grown by a local farmer. Mustard Seed CSA members pay within a suggested price range for 20 weeks of produce starting in June and continuing through October. Each week’s bag of produce will contain a diversity of seasonal crops (7-12 items), a balanced assortment of greens, root crops, summer vegetables, and herbs which feeds two to four adults for a week, depending on cooking habits.
We believe in everyone’s right to have access to nourishing food. Mustard Seed Farm is committed to producing good food for all, regardless of income. Letting members pay what they can for the same share is one way we do that. We trust you, the member, to self-select what you can pay for the CSA share. Some pay more allowing others to pay less which means the farm can continue running while getting food to the widest membership. Contact us for more payment options, short-season shares at a pro-rated price, or to coordinate payment with EBT. We will not deny anyone food because of financial circumstances.
