Consignor rules

Please read the terms and conditions so that we can help you and My BIG Sister’s Closet become successful!!


60% Owner 40% Consignor Split.
We accept higher quality/label plus size women’s clothing Sizes 14 and up and X-Large and up.
We accept higher quality accessories, purses, shoes (must be new or gently worn), and costume jewelry.
We ask that all items be…….
Good fabric and design.
No more than 2 years old.
Have no broken zippers, missing buttons,or rips and tears.
Clean & odor free (please no perfumes/tobacco smells or stains)
Please wash items at least 2 days prior to bringing items in.
Clean and pressed Hanging on plastic hangers on arrival.
All slacks, shorts, and capris must be dry cleaned.
Please bring purses and shoes in a bin or plastic container.
Please limit clothes to no more than 50 on each drop off. No appointment necessary.
Checks will be ready by the l5th of each month. If you want your checks mailed, please bring us a stamped, addressed envelope.
The Check will be for the items sold the previous month.
We do not cut checks under $10.00.
One time $10.00 Administrative fee.
.25 tagging fee per item.
My BIG Sister’s Closet is not responsible for damaged, missing or stolen merchandise.
Calls will be made to you when your 90 day consignment period is up, to come pick up your items. These items must be picked up within 7 days of the call, or the items will be donated to the Christian Women’s Job Corp.
All rules are subject to change at any time. Please do not be offended if we do not accept your items as our skilled staff must rely on past and present experience to determine what will sell in our store.
Management has the right to place items on sale during the 90 Day consignment period. If your items have not sold within 60 days, it will be put on the clearance rack at 75% off.
All items not sold within 60 days, will be marked 75% off.

What sells best?

In season brand name casual and business casual items sell best.
Clothes should be washed, wrinkle free, and odor free. Please check for stains, missing buttons, broken zippers.
Purses should be in current style and clean inside and out.
Shoes should look almost brand new inside and out.
Items should be for the current season.

Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, Talbots, Eileen Fisher, Jones New York, Torrid, Lane Bryant, Avenue, Apt. 9, and other high end brands.

What do we not accept?
Wedding dresses, long formal wear, Suits (pant & skirt), items not in current style-over 2 years old, worn shoes, long leather coats, Wal-Mart, KMart, Target, & Old Navy brands.

We cannot accept any clothing that is not freshly laundered or drycleaned, wrinkle free and on hangers.
