Living peacefully in the quietly beautiful hills above Santa Fe, Thor, Hot Dog and Ms. Donkey provide opportunities for children, with or without reading insecurities, to experience the important benefits that come from reading aloud in a safe, nonjudgmental environment. Children will read books of their choosing to three gentle, well-trained miniature equines who are attentive, friendly listeners.
Kindness and helping are a two-way street; children will gain exposure to these wonderful animals and learn about their keen intelligence, sensitivity and warmth. Like us, they too need a purpose. The children who read to them will help enrich life for Hot Dog , Thor and Ms. Donkey. We do not charge for this program, although children are encouraged to bring apples and carrots for the enjoyment of whoever will be their favorite listener.
