Mystic Oaks Farms

Welcome to Mystic Oaks Farms, let me tell you about our story.

Mystic Oaks Farms has been in the family since the early 1970’s, but not always as Mystic Oaks Farms. It is where I grew up and spent most of my younger years as a child. My father put a lot of work into the property when he was there and his memory still lingers there. The home place became Mystic Oaks Farms in late 2016 after my mother passed away. Ever since I was a child, I always had big dreams of turning the property into a small farm. Back then, it was horses and cows and a big red barn. Now, my focus is on honeybees, small animals, and sustainability.

This Facebook page was created to document the changes taking place to turn the property into a farm, to share memories, stories, and photos along the way. In the future, we will be adding bee hives, chickens for fresh eggs, a garden, and several other things.

I started my journey into beekeeping back in 2011 and admittedly, the journey hasn’t been an easy one. But as with everything else in life, you learn from your mistakes and work to improve upon the process to make a better outcome for what you have ahead.

As beekeeping is my hobby, the honey that I harvest will have the label of Mystic Oaks Farms on it to cherish the memories that I have of my family and the home place. This will include honey from my hives in my apiary in Trinity North Carolina as well.
