In 1923, Frank Lloyd Wright conceived Nakoma’s stunning clubhouse design, which was brought to life in 2001 at Nakoma Resort in the heart of the Lost Sierra. A spectacular golf course, a Spa with all the modern amenities and villas that are now the Residence Club at Nakoma quickly followed, delighting guests and homeowners alike.
While grounded in history, at Nakoma we embrace change. We recently added a fabulous new 42-room mountain modern Lodge at Nakoma for resort guests.
In 2017 we will be unveiling the Altitude Recreation Center, a 12,000-plus-square-foot facility that will engage and entertain in equal measure. A weight room, sauna, steam showers, climbing wall, lap pools and tennis courts are just some of amenities that will welcome members, owners and guests late-September.
For those with more permanent designs on their Sierra escape, Nakoma offers Ascend Residences. The architecturally stunning, predesigned modern homes are surrounded by pine forest and have golf course views.
Our next addition will be the MarketPlace, a market and café adjacent to the Lodge, offering casual dining and food to go.
