NAMI Piedmont Tri-County

NAMI Piedmont Tri-County truly began through the efforts of 2 family members back in the 1980's, Bettye Jean Boone and Louise Hassenplug. Originally the called the organization the Rock Hill Alliance for the Mentally Ill. In 1995, the organization became a 501(c)3, continually growing to reach individuals and family members dealing with mental illness.




Today, NAMI Piedmont Tri-County serves York, Chester and Lancaster counties and is continuing to support families affected by mental health disorders through free education classes and support groups. In addition, we have extended our outreach to the local community we serve to provide education to schools (both teachers and students), police departments and child serving agencies to educate them about signs and symptoms of mental illness.




In 2014, NAMI Piedmont Tri-County held is first annual fundraising walk. Funds raised continue to expand the reach of our education programs to continue our mission of support and advocacy
