Nantucket Boys & Girls Club

Since 1945, the Nantucket Boys & Girls Club has been helping kids succeed. The Club is a caring, creative resource. We offer kids challenge balanced with encouragement and praise…room for growth grounded in a sense of security and connections…and opportunities for individual expression reinforced with validation and support. The Club is a place where young people come to learn, do homework, develop social skills, express themselves creatively, and participate in sports.

Child-inspired—It takes only one child to inspire an entire organization. At the Nantucket Boys & Girls Club youth are our sole source of motivation. They are the heart and soul, the passion and grit, and the lifeblood of our organization. Youth are what make us tick.

Dedicated youth facility - The Nantucket Boys & Girls Club is a place – an actual neighborhood-based building – designed solely for youth programs and activities. Our Club provides a safe place for young people who may be left home alone or on the streets with no guidance or supervision after school. Over 600 Nantucket children are Club members. That is almost 75% of all children in the Nantucket Public School system and attests to the Club’s importance.

Professional staff - Our impact is significantly increased through the ongoing relationships with caring, trained adults on our staff. The more young people come to the Club; the more likely they are to develop positive relationships with caring adults. The more they experience the positive effects of our youth development philosophy; the more opportunity caring adults have to influence behaviors, self-esteem and character.

Available/Affordable to all youth – School year memberships cost each child only $30. This low cost insures all children have access to our facilities and programming.
