Growing up in Detroit, Michigan and working throughout many different restaurants and delicatessens throughout his life, Nate grew up with an appreciation of good food and great service. At the age of eighteen he started working the assembly line at the GM Factory. During lunch time Nate and his co-workers would always go out to lunch and settle for small portioned, low quality, and inexpensive fast food. Combining his love and experience for quality food and his appreciation for hungry blue collar workmen, Nate grew the ambition to open up a sandwich shop that included the working man sandwich: a nice size portioned, top quality meal, that would be easy on the wallet. His belief is that with the combination of quality and lean meats and cheeses, the sandwich would speak for itself. Everyone at Nate’s Korner takes just as much pride in our top quality meats, cheeses, and produce as we do with our friendly service. After being opened for over twenty six years and having the same location since 1975, our customers are now our families instead of our customers.
