Our Lives

We're Nate & Tracy. We met in 2008 and knew we had found "the one" the day we met. In the years we have been married, we have built an extremely successful child care business, built a new home and are currently raising 1 teenager, 2 very young adults and our 3 lovely dogs.

As a husband and wife team working side by side, we aspire to provide our clients with not only exceptional customer service but an incredibly unique & memorable experience. We love that we get to be a part of capturing the most special moments in the lives of the people we work with. Our clients become a part of our extended family.

Our Photography

To put it simply, Timeless. We create simple, beautiful, organic images that last a lifetime. Our goal is to freeze a moment in time for you to be able to keep and cherish. We encourage all potential clients to view our gallery for examples of our work. For newborn photography there is a questionnaire that must be filled out so that we can provide you with images that fit your personal taste and style while still staying true to our artistic expression.

Our Experience

We specialize in newborn, baby and child photography. The reason for this specialization stems from not only our love of children but our extensive knowledge and dedication to our child care business, Sweet Peas, which we still own and operate. Nate has been in child care for 6 years and Tracy has been in child care for over 20 years. We are both CPR and First Aid certified and are extremely comfortable and knowledgeable in handling newborns and toddlers. This gives our clients peace of mind in knowing their family is in a safe environment and well take care of. Our photography business began in our childcare operation, just taking pictures of the children we cared for. Parents fell in love with the photos we gave them and we fell in love with creating images that we knew they would keep for many years.

What sets us apart from the rest is that we not only capture beautiful and timeless images, but attention to detail and customer service is also our number one priority. From how you take your coffee or tea to making sure your newborn is warm and snug, Blackbird truly goes above and beyond to ensure that you don't have to lift a finger and can just enjoy this special moment.
