National Grid - New York Energy Solution

The New York Energy Solution (NYES) is a public policy and congestion-relief project consisting of a portfolio of interconnected transmission lines and substations in multiple counties and municipalities that will be modernized and upgraded. This multi-year project will be developed, constructed and owned by a proposed new, statewide transmission entity known as New York Transco. NYES primarily consists of construction of 153 miles of 345 kV transmission lines from Central New York to Albany and southward from Albany to Pleasant Valley. The NYES will play a vital role in meeting New York’s increasing demand for enhanced electric system reliability throughout the next 30 years.
