Introducing the Artist

I have always had an artist's heart. I have also always known that art isn't just a paintbrush and canvas. Art is found in the subtle beauty of nature, in the sublime lines of architectural design, in the simple turn of a phrase or a serpentine turn on a winding country road.
Art isn't just something that hangs on the wall. It can be so much more. In fact, it can actually be the wall.
It took me awhile to realize that. Almost 40 years ago, when I became a drywall hanger, I never imagined that my artist's heart could find a canvas with walls and ceilings. But in a figurative sense, when you look for art even in these areas, then there are no walls or ceilings.
During my years as a drywall hanger, I never viewed it as a job. It was always my craft. Early on, in a field that pushed hard for quantity, my teacher stressed quality; and I embraced that. I learned my craft and learned it well, never sacrificing excellence at the altar of expedience. I built my reputation on pride of craftsmanship.
The natural progression of hanging drywall led to taping and finishing and eventually into working with textures and designs. As I started to see walls and ceilings as my canvas, I constantly wondered what more I could do as I continued learning and creating new techniques. The only limit was my imagination.
It led me into a specialized field, where I received training in old world Venetian plasters using the highest quality materials imported from Tuscany. With an entire spectrum of colors and metallic finishes to work with, these custom finishes range from polished mirror looks to deep three-dimensional textures that are all simply stunning.
My goal is, and has always been, absolute client satisfaction while creating unique and elegant living spaces – from old world to modern elegance.
The possibilities are endless.
