Northern Arizona University takes pride in practicing cultural diversity through the engagement of domestic and international students with one another. The Center for International Education, in partnership with RSP Architects, has created a space where NAU's practice of cultural engagement and understanding will elevate. The International Pavilion will serve as a destination where students, clubs and organizations of all types can further their education in a centralized, relaxed and engaging space. The International Pavilion will take part in the university's goal to be carbon neutral by 2020. The building will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology and educational promotions to be as sustainable as possible through the building's unique design and student involvement. The building will be LEED certified Platinum and net zero with the capability of holding seminars, outreach events, and cultural practices that will promote all aspects of sustainability cultural understanding on a local and global level.
