Nederland Volunteer Fire Department - NVFD, Inc.

The Nederland Volunteer Fire Department (NVFD, Inc.) is a volunteer based organization that works in direct conjunction with Nederland Fire Rescue. NVFD, Inc. is the non-profit organization that governs the volunteer department.

The organization is comprised of the Board of Directors and the membership. The Board of Directors attend a monthly business meeting in order to run the organization.

To become a member of the NVFD you must meet the minimum qualifications:

Must reside in the City Limit of Nederland, Texas or it's Emergency Services District, which includes residence of Beauxart Gardens. (Central Gardens addresses fall within the jurisdiction of the Water District #10 Fire Department).
Be at least 18 years of age.
Have adequate transportation.
Have the ability to pass a standard applicant background check.
