Needham Community Education

Needham Community Education (NCE) is an office of the Needham Public Schools and combines a number of out-of-school time programs into one administrative office. Programs are self-sustaining and include Adult programs, High School Programs, Middle School programs, Elementary School programs, a Kindergarten After School program, and Summer programs.

ADULT
Through our Adult Education Program, we hope to provide quality lifelong learning experiences that are accessible to a wide range of community members - sometimes including TEENS and CHILDREN.

HIGH SCHOOL
Through our High School Education programs, students have the opportunity to do community service and earn credit, as well as participate in sports clinics and other activities including the popular Volleyball and Wrestling clinics. Additionally, programs are offered for COLLEGE PREP, including SAT preparation classes and college tours.

MIDDLE SCHOOL
Needham Community Ed proudly offers high quality after-school enrichment opportunities for High Rock and Pollard students. These classes are taught by Needham Public Schools faculty and staff, community members, and other qualified professionals. They are designed to give students a chance to connect and learn beyond the classroom in a fun, engaging, and relaxed environment!

ELEMENTARY & KINDERGARTEN
Similarly to our middle school programs, after-school enrichment opportunities for elementary school students provide learning beyond the classroom in a relaxed and community-oriented environment. In addition to general enrichment programs taught by staff, community members, parents, and others, NCE offers an after-school program specifically designed for Kindergarten students, called KASE.

SUMMER!
Needham Community Ed proudly presents more than 60 exciting and engaging weeklong, morning, afternoon, and full-day workshops for students entering grades 1-9. These workshops range in scope and topic and include science, sports, fine and performing arts, culture, cooking, crafts, technology, and more! All classes are taught by Needham Public Schools staff members and other trained educational professionals.
