Neuqua Valley Athletic Boosters

The Neuqua Valley Boosters’ Club was established in 1997 when the school was officially opened with the help of only 6 people. Our mission and purpose is to support, encourage and aid the athletic activities of the students at Neuqua Valley High School. The organization is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization with the Internal Revenue Service and State of Illinois. This means any contributions above the membership fee would be a tax deduction for our members (please consult your tax advisor).

Our current board is made up of two sections, the Executive Board and Committee Chairs. The Executive Board includes the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Athletic Director of the school while having Committee Chairs for the following areas: Concessions, Fundraising, Membership, Newsletter, Scholarships, Social Media, Volunteers and Wildcat Wear.

Our primary ways of raising funds are the sale of concessions, Wildcat Wear (spirit wear) and membership dues. Concessions are sold at all home football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, track, cross country, wrestling and swimming events. The Wildcat Wear store is open on Fridays from 9:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. throughout the school year at the Main campus and from 10:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. from August through December at the Gold campus. Wildcat Wear is also sold at many of the same home sporting events mentioned above. To give you an idea, Wildcat Wear is 47%, concessions is 28% and membership dues are 25% of program revenue collected for the year.

Over the years, the Boosters’ organization has been able to assist the Neuqua Valley High School athletic teams by donating over $600,000 of support and providing ten (10) $1,000 scholarships to our graduating seniors. Our assistance has helped the teams purchase many different things like warm ups, practice jerseys, pitching machines, training videos and injury rehabilitation equipment as well as backstop windscreens, new scoreboards and a pole vault pit. Each year the Athletic Director has each coach provide our organization with their requests for financial assistance. Those requests are then reviewed and approved by the Board. We will even work with the teams to support their individual fundraising efforts for specific, large ticket items when necessary.

As you can see, the Boosters’ organization is an integral part of the athletic scene at Neuqua Valley. Without your support, our teams would have to fund raise even more on an individual basis to provide many of the additional amenities they do today.
