New Beginnings Outreach Ministries was founded in April 2000 by Elder Melvin D Trent and his beautiful wife First Lady Julie Trent.

The original location of New Beginnings was cited at 3221 Southern Boulevard on the Southside of Youngstown, Ohio in a small renovated pizza parlor. This building held approximately 80 people. At that time, our church was made up of one meeting room and two side rooms that included a divided office for Pastor Trent. An estimated twelve families were accounted for on church membership records.

Within months, the people of God began to pray for a larger church home with better facilities to fit the needs of our growing church. The magnitude of the vision of our pastor was so awesome, that God moved to close one door and astoundingly prepare the way for another to open. And approximately one year later, the New Beginnings church family victoriously walked through the doors of our second location at 322 Wick Avenue, located on the north side of Youngstown, Ohio. Although large and beautiful, eventually God moved his mighty hand once again to bless us with a building of our own.

In 2008, the “Year of New Beginnings,” God blessed us with our very own edifice located at 2007 South Schenley Avenue here in Youngstown, Ohio. Today we are continuing to humbly seek the face of God with much prayer and supplication. We have organized a very strong, dedicated, and united leadership team who desires to serve God while building His kingdom and reconciling man back to Jesus Christ.

New Beginnings Outreach Ministries vows to look forward and faithfully work towards the plan that has been set before us by our leader and visionary, Pastor Melvin Trent.
