New Community of Faith

We are a community of people very much like you striving to be followers of Jesus Christ. Inspired by Jesus, we seek to welcome all people, strengthen our relationships with God and one another, and participate in the wider community to promote justice and a better common life.

A Welcoming and Affirming congregation, we follow the traditions of the American Baptist Churches and the United Church of Christ. Our church was founded in 1962 as Blue Hills Baptist Church, and we have worshipped since 1970 as the dual-affiliated American Baptist and United Church of Christ congregation known as New Community of Faith. God has brought us through the years as a faithful and loving family church, seeking always to praise God and serve God’s creation.

We believe that Christ calls everyone without prejudice or distinction to love and worship God. Wherever you are on your faith journey, we invite you to share fellowship with us, to worship with us, to pray with us, and to contribute to our common life. We welcome people of every ethnicity, economic status, gender, sexual and gender orientation, age, nationality, marital status, and physical ability.
