The Vision of Bishop Robert G. Johnson:
I see the church (a worship center) as a place where people may visit and feel the true spirit of worship and fellowship with God. They will be touched by the preaching and teaching of the word of God along with an atmosphere of love and compassion demonstrated by God’s disciples. Therefore, because of that spiritual connection, visitors will accept, or return to accept God’s plan of salvation through obedience, humility, and servitude. Then by God's love we will become the true examples of witnesses of His will.
Heretofore, I see the membership of New Life Temple to be a congregation with love and harmony among each other with no respect of persons. Romans 2:11 says, “For there is no respect of persons with God.”
While we may have more in common with some, than with others, it does not mean we will not be supportive or protective of the integrity of our brother and sister. We will be honest with our love for each other. Hurt my brother and you hurt me. Hurt my sister, you hurt me as well.
Finally, I see the church building or edifice as a place to provide a peaceful, comfortable, hospitable and relaxing place to come to and freely worship and praise the Lord. The Temple will become an institution for learning, counseling and relaxation in preparation to meet the soon coming King. ALL FOR THE GLORY OF GOD. “IT IS NOT ABOUT US, BUT ABOUT JESUS CHRIST!
