NEWEN® is specialized in the manufacturing of machines tools dedicated to valve seat and valve guide machining in internal combustion engine cylinder heads, since 1993. In the late 1990’s, NEWEN has developed a new machining technique for valve seat profiles, called FIXED-TURNING®.

The FIXED-TURNING® is characterized by a rotating cutting tool travelling on two precise and rigid axes, piloted by satellite roller screws and ultimate generation servo-motors.

Cylindrical shapes, concave or convex, made up of line segments and arcs of circles, are created in a profile editor accessible via the machine PC touch-screen.

The use of this user friendly software does not require any ISO programming knowledge.

The precision of the machining operations achieved in alloys specific to internal combustion engine valve seats (in very resistant powder metal materials), allows to obtain circularity defects <0.003mm and surface finishes
These machines allow to machine valve seats ranging in diameter from 13 to 250mm in their standard versions.

An automatic spindle centering system with respect to the valve guide is piloted by the machine software in all machine models.

The angles are programmable every one hundredth of a degree.
