The NCSRA is a professional organization of voluntary Deputy Sheriff’s and other people that is interested in helping make their community and County a safer and better place to live and work.
ARTICLE III: GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
SECTION 1. The goals and objectives of the NCSRA are:
A. To support charitable educational and scientific purposes, exclusively, within the meaning of 501 ( C ) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
B. To assist members in the performance of their duties as Newton County Sheriff’s Reserve Deputies.
C. To combat juvenile delinquency.
D. To acquire special equipment for the Sheriff’s department.
E. To train Reserve Deputy Sheriff’s in search and rescue, traffic, and crowd control.
F. To promote public relations with Law Enforcement.
G. To lessen the burden of government by taking an active interest in the affairs of the Newton County Sheriff’s Reserve Deputy Unit and supporting activities and goals of the unit in obtaining necessary training and equipment.
H. To assist the Newton County Sheriff in enhancing and providing for greater public safety.
I. To receive and disburse funds donated to the Association, from the general public or from other sources for the purpose stated above.
