In 2009, we were loading hay. The hay was stacked wrong and about 50 bales fell and buried me -- fracturing my back in several different places and leaving my husband
with the burden of not only having to take care of me, but our 3 children as well. After starting in a wheelchair, I moved on to a walker and a back brace for what seemed like forever.
My amazing husband decided to plant a garden, to give me something to do and to make me feel better. I was unable to do anything, and this was a way for me to help out. Although I could not bend or lift, I could set up with the kids and sell homegrown vegetables. Four years later I am amazingly better thanks to God and lots of prayers.
One thing has led to another and now we plant 5 acres, using plastic mulch that results in using 70% less water! Amazing!! Next Generation Produce became our dream and now our reality thanks to the love and support of our local community. So I would love to invite you to continue with us on this incredible journey that God has planned for us!! Remember to support your local farmers!!
