Noodle Time Childcare, LLC

Hi!! My name is Barbara Ferrante and I am a happily married mother of three children. I am very involved in the daily life of my family and their activities. My eldest two children are of school age attending Big Spring School District, and are active members of Boy/Girl Scouts (respectively) among other endeavors. They travel each summer to spend time with their father in South Carolina and greatly enjoy their adventures. I remarried in October 2009 to a wonderful man who works in the IT field, and we currently have one child together.

I decided to pursue my love of taking care of children after a separation from the corporate world for many reasons. I have always been in awe of children’s enthusiasm and innocent curiosity of the world around them, and believe that as adults, we have the wonderful responsibility to help them fulfill their utmost potential. After searching many months for childcare of my own in the Carlisle/Newville area, I found many frustrations with the options around me.

In conventional daycares, I sensed that the teachers were overwhelmed by the amount of children they were responsible for, and thus it became a pseudo-robotic situation where children were not able to be given the individual attention they sometimes need. I was also displeased with the menu options available and felt as though the nutritional pyramid was followed, but that more natural foods should be offered in a larger assortment. I discovered that many home-based daycares filled up quickly and were not able to care for younger children, and it was difficult to find information about their facilities or values. This was very disheartening to me because I had used home-based care before and my (older) children loved it. Hence, I made the decision to fuse my love for children with my business education and open my home to you.


We are approximately 15-20 minutes from downtown Carlisle, convenient to route 74 off of 944 (Wertzville/Enola Road). We are about 25 minutes from Mechanicsburg via 944 and Newville. I do provide before and after school care for Big Spring School District.
