My name is Bryan Guidry and I am the owner of North Broadway Jiu Jitsu in St. Louis. A black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, I won the 2010 World Championships in Rio de Janiero.
I graduated from the Missouri University of Science and Technology with a degree in chemical engineering. After working several years in engineering I dedicated myself full-time to my passion, Jiu Jitsu and fitness.
I was undefeated as a mixed martial artist with 8 fights from 1999-2003. After my last MMA victory, the left side of my face was completely reconstructed from a kick I received during the fight. After this, I decided to focus on Jiu Jitsu only.
In 2006, I started North Broadway Jiu Jitsu in an abandoned warehouse 1 mile north of the St. Louis Arch. North Broadway has produced 3 novice division world champions.
In 2009, I produced the Fight Fit training system. Daily techniques and workouts are published at www.bgjj.tv
I was the conditioning coach for the St. Louis Community College at Meramec from 2007-2009. I boxed for several years at the North County boxing gym and began my training in 1984 at age 13 with Korean Judo grandmaster Bong-Yul Shin. After wrestling 2 years in college, I started training under Rodrigo Vaghi, who is a Black Belt world Champion under Rickson Gracie.
I have an extensive program for beginners and I welcome new people to drop in and watch or try a class anytime! We have 3 unique programs; Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing and Fight Fit as well as kids and teens classes.
