North Camden Little League

In the summer of 2011 a group of Concerned Citizens established the North Camden Little League (NCLL), bringing to life a North Camden Neighborhood Plan vision which called for organized, supervised, and safe recreational activities for youth. In a neighborhood blanketed with crime, the Little League provides a positive alternative to North Camden’s harsh streets. Founded in 2011 to give 100 North Camden children baseball related activities during the months of May through August. Our goal was simple provide a safe place for them to have fun while becoming part of a team, gaining self-esteem, and finding positive community role models who believe in them. In just three short years close to 700 Camden youth have been able to take part in the North Camden Little League’s pro-social community building programs

In the summer of 2014, NCLL will engage over 500 young people and their families (approximately 20 % of the under 18 and 25 % of the over 18 population residing within the North Camden neighborhood) in baseball and other positive social activities.
