North Conway DQ Grill & Chill

The Glen DQ Family Restaurant has been serving delicious food and tasty ice cream treats to valley residents and visitors alike for nearly 50 years! Now, our newest restaurant the North Conway DQ Grill & Chill, is continuing the same tradition.

Glen Dairy Queen was built by Jan and Charless Filip in 1968 and has been owned and operated by the Filip family ever since. Beginning as a walk-up window restaurant, Glen Dairy Queen has evolved over the years to become the comfortable and inviting family restaurant that it is today.

In the summer of 2010, the Filip family built and opened a second Dairy Queen, the DQ Grill and Chill, located in North Conway. The Grill & Chill boasts the same comfortable family dining experience as the Glen location but, also offers a drive-thru service and is open year around. In addition to the same menu as Glen the Grill & Chill also offers Chicken and Veggie Quesadillas.

Jan and Charless Filip's youngest daughter Lucy, was born the same year the Glen DQ was built. She was raised in the business, and continues the Fillip family tradition of "The Customer comes First." Today the restaurants are run by both Lucy, and her husband Brian Eling. Coincidentally, Lucy and Brian had their daughter, Leilani the same year that the DQ Grill and Chill was built and opened. Perhaps, it too will be her desire to run the Dairy Queens and continue the family tradition.
