More about North Florida Land Trust

North Florida Land Trust is dedicated to permanently preserving natural areas and special places in North Florida. We achieve this mission primarily through the acquisition of conservation real estate. Through generous individual and corporate donations, grants, and bequests, NFLT acquires land, or interest in land, for conservation in perpetuity. For landowners looking to maintain their property but restrict future development, NFLT can place a conservation easement on the property which can limit future land use. These contracts are negotiable to suit the needs of each landowner, and provide significant tax benefits while preserving a family legacy.

Legacy and stewardship are important to the North Florida Land Trust. The fertile farms and ranches, working forests, historic resources and many of our precious natural areas are in the hands of private landowners, many of whom take great pride in their stewardship of the land. We work with these landowners to ensure that their hard work, and their legacy, is maintained for the benefit of future generations.

As a private not-for-profit we survive on the giving of the community, both in cash donations and volunteering. Your contributions are an important piece in the achievement of our mission.
