In 1940, North Island Credit Union was established as a member-owned financial cooperative to provide banking resources to military and civil service personnel. Almost a decade earlier, in 1931, California Credit Union was born out of a need to provide reliable, rewarding and convenient financial services to teachers and others in the education community in a similar cooperative environment.
To provide even greater opportunities to Californians throughout state, the two credit unions joined forces in 2017.
