North Judson Mint Festival 2018

In 1976 North Judson, along with the rest of the US, celebrated the Bicentennial of the founding of our country with a festival. It was quite a party and so enjoyable that many people said, "We need to do this again."

So they looked around for a theme and came up with the idea of showcasing mint since it is an unusual plant that will only thrive in certain areas. Our region is one of them.

The North Judson Mint Festival has been held on Father's Day weekend for many years and, hopefully, for many more to come.

There are two other mint festivals in the US and our's is the second oldest. Our Mint Festival has been featured on Experience Michiana and other TV programs; appeared in several print publications including the Indianapolis Monthly and the Hammond Times.
