The North West Nuclear Consortium is STEM school for high school students throughout the West Coast of Washington State, from Bellingham to Olympia. Students are exposed to multiple disciplines of science, including programming, electrical engineering, particle physics, astronomy and biology with an emphasis on nuclear physics. Students conduct college-level research in areas of their choice, garnering awards at science fairs at the regional, state and even national level. The North West Nuclear Consortium was founded by Carl Greninger, a Microsoft engineer with a passion for enriching the STEM education of high school students.
