Northeast Taekwondo Academy

Northeast Taekwondo is one of the pioneer Martial Arts schools in the Capital District. Owned and operated by Grand Master Les Zampino, our school was established in 1977 and has become the longest operating Taekwondo Academy in the area. Northeast is also chartered by the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU), providing many benefits to our members.

At Northeast, we belive that the art of Taekwondo is much more than a sport. It is a life-style of physical and mental training proven to develop the complete being - physically and mentally. We accomplish this by providing a positively charged group learning environment, while remembering that each student has their own strengths and limitations. Our students develop at their own pace and this development is continually reinforced by the five tenents of Taekwondo (courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and an indomitable spirit).

Our instructional staff have over 100 years of experience collectively and have received many local and national accolades throughout their years of training. Our student base is comprised of individuals of all ages and skill levels as well. We offer programs for kids, adults and we even offer a family membership. We are also proud of the progress of each of our students and have produced many local and national Taekwondo champions and medal winners.
