Northwest Neurosciences is a medical organization which provides a comprehensive program for the assessment and management of neurological disorders. We specialize in neurosurgery, neurology, and pain management. The goal of our neuroscience center is to offer timely services that will ultimately improve the quality of life for our patients. We make every effort to provide prompt diagnosis and diverse treatment options.

Neurosurgery

At Northwest Neurosciences many clinical disorders which were once approached with surgical intervention are currently managed with a nonsurgical approach, i.e., most cases of low back or neck pain. However, often there are serious clinical disorders involving the brain, spinal cord, or peripheral nerves, in which case neurosurgery is indicated. In those cases surgical intervention provides decreased morbidity and mortality, reduced disability and pain, and an overall improved quality of life.

A comprehensive approach is presented to the patient in order to achieve accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. We manage several neurosurgical conditions, more commonly:

Degenerative Disorders of the Spine leading to Low Back Pain and Neck Pain.
Stroke/Cerebrovascular Accidents
Spinal Cord Injury Disorders
Brain Tumors

Neurology

Neurology is a medical specialty dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of neurological symptoms and disorders. At Northwest Neurosciences, we evaluate and provide treatment for a wide range of neurological conditions such as the following:

Ischemic strokes/transient ischemic attack
Epilepsy/seizure disorder
Multiple sclerosis /demyelination disorders
Headache
Peripheral neuropathy
We also perform the following diagnostic testing to evaluate peripheral nerve disorders and muscle disease :

EMG – Electromyography
NCS – Nerve Conduction Studies
