Welcome to NOVA Natural Birth Center! Here you will find a treasure trove of resources, information and community of support for your journey through pregnancy and birth. Founded by the midwives of Birth by Design in 2011, the cornerstone of NOVA Natural Birth Center is our team of midwives, both Certified Professional Midwives and Certified Nurse Midwives. Midwives are experts in out-of-hospital birth and we are very proud to be able to say that collectively, the midwives of NOVA Natural Birth center have helped thousands of families give birth at home, birth center and hospital settings. We provide midwifery model prenatal care, labor, birth, newborn and postpartum care through 6 weeks after birth. Preconception and well woman gynecologic care are now available as well. Your labs and ultrasounds are done in our beautiful and comfortable rooms.
Our "real" name is Northern Virginia Natural Birth Center and Wellness Community! You will also find that we are as passionate about your whole body, mind and spirit wellness as we are about birth. We have a lending library, classes and workshops. We offer chiropractic care, natural health options, massage therapy, nutrition counseling, breastfeeding help and more. You will enjoy shopping for specialty items in our natural health boutique. If we don't already have it, you will find referrals for many other items and pregnancy or natural health providers including childbirth educators, doulas, and lactation counselors. As midwives, we are passionate about keeping the whole family healthy as well as helping women birth as they are designed to, naturally, with loving support, and in their own way.
