Novato Mothers Club

Thank you for your interest in the Novato Mothers Club! The NMC membership year runs from September through August. Annual dues are $50.

Dues are prorated as follows:

If you join between:
September 1-February 28 = $50
March 1-May 31 = $35
June 1-July 31 = $25
August 1-31 = free, however you will be charged $50 for the following year’s term.

We require that all full members complete two volunteer hours for the club. Volunteering is a fun way to get to know other members and there are many ways to volunteer:

Serve on the Board of Directors
Write an article for the newsletter
Help out at an event
Bake for an event
Make a meal for a new mom

We know that the life of a mom is a busy one. If you absolutely cannot volunteer your time the club accepts an annual fee of $30 in lieu of volunteering.

Volunteer credit, like membership, runs from September to August.

Volunteer Hours are prorated as follows.

If you join between:
September 1 and February 28/9 = 2 hours or $30
March 1st and May 31st = 1 hour or $15
June 1-August 31st = 0 hour or $0

To apply for or renew a scholarship select the Scholarship Application. Follow the online instructions to fill out the application form. All scholarships must be voted on and approved by the board of directors anonymously on a case by case basis. Board meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month, every month except for January and July. Your request will be placed on the agenda of the next board meeting. You will be notified by email within two days after the board meeting whether your scholarship request has been granted. Scholarships are for full membership only and 2 volunteer hours are required. If you are requesting a second year of Scholarship, a good faith dues payment of $1/month ($12 Total) is required.

(Full names are requested for each person in your family, because we would like to address each family member by the name of their choice – we know that there are many different types of families including stepfamilies, same sex partners, single parents, etc. – and we would like everyone to feel welcome.)
