NYCPAC is a non-competitive school established in 1999. Our faculty consists of alum from The Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music and Art and Performing Arts in NYC (The Fame School), The Juilliard School, Nutmeg Conservatory, and Shenandoah University. NYCPAC is a year round facility offering classes in Ballet, Pointe, Modern (Martha Graham Technique), Jazz, Lyrical, Tap, Hip-Hop, and Theater Arts ages 2 through adult.

NYCPAC instills passion and love of the performing arts within every child and helps bring awareness of art and culture within the community. NYCPAC has mentored many students into High School and College/University dance and theater programs where they have been awarded full scholarships, and gone on to become professionals in their field. At NYCPAC we strive to give our students the confidence and self discipline needed to make their way in the world of the performing arts.

"Competitive and comparative values are not what dance is about. I've always advised dancers to keep their focus on developing their own potential and not get hung up on competing with and comparing themselves to other people. I'm totally anti competition. It doesn't help you keep a clarity about your own reality, your physical reality, your capacity, your potential. All of those things are much more important than competition."

- Lawrence Rhodes, director of the dance division at The Juilliard School, NYC
