History
The OVC was formally organized in 1992. After 10 years the Oahu Veteran Council has seen their dream come true with the construction of the Oahu Veterans Center. The center is within the Foster Village Community near Pearl Harbor and Aloha Stadium.
It all started with a grant-in-aid in 1995 for $2.8 million from the state of Hawaii to design/construct a Veteran’s center. After years of trying to find a suitable location, the Council signed a long-term lease with the Foster Village Community Association. The result is a beautiful facility that veterans and the community can be proud of.
