Oakland VFD

We are small 100% volunteer fire department just west of Florence Alabama. We operate out of 1 station.

Our Trucks:

Rescue 2 - 1999 Ford F-350 used as a service truck. Responds to wrecks, medicals, vehicle fires, and other misc calls. This truck contains 250 gallons of water, pump, AMKUS Extrication tools, generator, scene lighting, and many other misc types of rescue tools and equipment.

Tactical 2 - Chevy Suburban. Used primarily on medical calls or to carry extra personnel to calls. Also used to attend classes, meetings, and other misc fire department business.

Engine 2 - 2007 Kenworth T-300 - Contains 1000 gal water. 1500 gallon pump. Carries 1200' of 5" supply hose. Also has 2nd set of AMKUS Rescue tools to backup Rescue 2 on entrapment calls. This truck is first due on all structure fires in Oakland fire district and responds as backup on other misc calls when needed.

Tanker 2A - 2014 Kenworth T300 - Carries 1500 gallons of water and has a 1500 gallon pump - also 2100 gallon drop tank - This truck is a pumper/tanker and can be used to backup Engine 2 if needed. It is first due tanker to all structure fires and mutual aid fires.

Brush Truck 2 - 2001 Chevy 1500 - carries 250 gallons water and has a Honda skid unit pump - also carries various wildland fire fighting tools. This truck responds to all brush fires, farm related fires, backup to wrecks and when 4wd off-road capabilities are needed.

Brush Tanker 2 - AM General deuce and half - carries 1250 gallons of water and Honda skid unit pump - carries misc wildland firefighting equipment and is primary tanker to brush fires
