Established in 1994 Oakwood Kennel is the only full service Companion Animal Facility of its kind in the area. Our 7 acre Pet friendly property offers the convenience of town along with the advantages of a relaxing country setting. We offer Boarding, Professional Grooming, and Obedience Training.

Nestled in the beautiful rolling farmlands of Knox County, Oakwood Kennel is located just 5 minutes north of Mount Vernon. Our central location is easily accessible from Mount Vernon and surrounding towns such as Howard, Gambier, and Fredericktown.

Our mission is to provide your pets with a unique, loving, premium experience, while assuring pet owners higher standards of care in a warm and personal atmosphere. We focus on giving all of our guests the attention they deserve and to forge a lasting relationship, not just for today but for future visits as well.
