Session 1: 3">Get to know our instructor, Wanda Coleman!

How long have you been teaching yoga?
I am a certified yoga and pilates instructor and have been teaching in the fitness industry since my 20's.

How long have you been practicing yoga?
I am currently teaching yoga, my true passion. With yoga, I feel an improved self awareness and deeper sense of well being, developed compassion, a greater self acceptance and a sensation of just being at peace.

How did you first get in to yoga?
After teaching various fitness classes, it was obvious that my true calling was yoga and meditation. It is a deeply personal thing for me, much more than just a practice or a technique. It is a lifestyle with such benefits that I want to share with others. It is a gateway to inner calm for mind, body and spirit.

What is your favorite pose?
To choose a favorite asana is very difficult as I feel all are needed to create a balance. I enjoy the Warrior Series (Virabhadrasana). This all involving asana works the arms and legs, and strengthens the back and opens the heart. I feel humble and fearless in warrior.

What hobbies do you enjoy?
All things nature, canoeing and hanging out with family and friends.

It's not the destination, it's about the journey.
