The OFPD serves and protects a residential population of over 85,000 persons in a 67 square mile area. This includes most of the city limits of O’Fallon, all of St. Paul, portions of Dardenne Prairie, Lake St. Louis, St. Peters, and 20 sq. miles of unincorporated St. Charles County.
The OFPD is governed by a publicly elected 3-member Board of Directors. Each Director holds a 6-year term. The Board oversees the District’s budget. Property Tax is the main source of revenue for the District, with a small amount of fees collected through commercial permits.
