Old Growth Tattoo and Art Emporium

Old Growth Tattoo has been a licensed tattoo and body piercing studio since 2011.

We have a selection of body jewelry, apparel, local handcrafted jewelry, art prints from local artists, and various tattoo and piercing aftercare products from H2Ocean and Ohana Organics.

We Currently have one piercer, three tattoo artists and one apprentice.

Our Piercer Danielle Camou has been piercing for 2.5 years and apprenticed at the most reputable shop in Humboldt County. She transplanted here 8 years ago from San Luis Obispo, CA and is currently attending College of the Redwoods to expand her knowledge. With a passion for piercing, Danielle strives to offer her clients the best experience possible while simultaneously offering quality, cleanliness and safety. Her creative eye gives her an edge over aesthetically pleasing placement and jewelry combinations.

Damon Weed has been tattooing for 20 years. He is a very versatile artist who specializes in traditional Americana and traditional Japanese, but is no stranger to color realism and black and grey. Originally from Humboldt County, he spent several years working at different studios around the country before owning Friendly City Tattoo in Rhonert Park for 10 years. He then relocated back to Humboldt in 2013 to be closer to his family. He still does the occasional guest spot on the big island of Hawaii.

Randy Meyer is approaching his 4th year as a professional tattoo artist. Apprenticed by the legendary Tom Harley, the native Virginian is known best for his geometric work. His unique style of incorporating sacred geometry and dot-work has clients seeking him out from all over the country. Randy also enjoys tattooing traditional designs as well as custom script.

Shauna Basil is our traveling female artist. Hailing from Las Vegas, Nevada, Shauna has been tattooing for 5 years. Her style can be described as illustrative cartoon with neotraditional tendencies.

Justin Love is currently apprenticing under Randy Meyer. He's a Humboldt county local and is transitioning his 10 years of illustration experience over to tattooing.
