Old Mountain Bakery

Old Mountain Bakery was created by the traditions I had when I was growing up and being around family. During the holidays, my father would bake nut rolls (kolach) and other desserts. I Learned from watching him and he learned from watching his mother, who learned from her mother. As I started my family, I kept up the tradition of making these nut rolls and now I am teaching my sons.

In December of 2016, I was making nut rolls for Christmas as I usually do. A couple of the boys' friends came over to the house and have never heard of nut rolls before.

We let them try some.

They loved them so much that it inspired us to share our rolls with everyone, so we set out to make that happen.
