What we do!
We are a family owned architectural salvage business. We dismantle old structures with historical significance which means about 100 years old give or take some years because our desire is to provide you, our salvage friends, with materials that you cannot purchase at your general lumber/home store. We salvage old hand hewed beams, floor joist, rafters, old wide board floors, doors, windows, rafters, bead board, mantles, porch and stair railings, and a TON of antiques as we go that are still in the old homes, barns, or other structures we dismantle.
How it works!
We sell our architectural, agricultural, and home antiques via Dad's & Lad's on Main St. in Westminster SC. We are the navy blue entrance. You can visit there according to our schedule here and often we are open on Thursday nights for special shopping hours with snacks for you, our salvage friends.
All of our large items such as floors, joist, beams, large farm items, really anything you can not carry to your car are available at our Old Oakway Warehouse also located in Westminster about a mile from the store and you can email us at info@oldoakway.com to schedule an appointment to view the items in the warehouse.
Who do we sell to?
We sell to our Salvage Friends, that means you. We do not build items to sell from our salvage products, we sell the items to DIY'ers, builders, hobbyist, and antique dealers.
Family owned:
We started Old Oakway Architectural Salvage after salvaging wood to restore our very old home and decided it would be a truly fun business to get into and so on December 8, 2014, less than a year after we got married OOAS became a business and it has been a wild ride and we have been very blessed!
What do you want?
Many Salvage Friends email us or FB us requesting certain items and we put it on a 'look out' list. If you are looking for screen doors, shutters, 1000 ft of old wood flooring, windows, etc. just let us know.
