Old School Square Creative Arts School

Discover or expand your creative side! The Creative Arts School offers classes and workshops in art, photography, digital imaging and writing for beginners through advanced level.

Located on the second floor of the historic Crest Theatre building (c. 1925), the studios and classrooms offer a unique and intimate environment for creative expression.

Art classes include drawing, painting, watercolor, pastel, collage and mixed media and Open Studio opportunities.

Photography classes include introduction to digital camera use and fine art photography for beginning, intermediate, advanced and master levels.

Digital imaging classes include Photoshop Elements and Adobe Lightroom for beginners to advanced.

The Writers Colony prepares students to complete writing projects with the primary objective of getting published or self-publishing. Offerings include creative writing (fiction/nonfiction), memoir writing, critique groups and seminars. Open readings are scheduled monthly.

Youth classes include a variety of opportunities for ages 6 and up and also include portfolio preparation for students applying to local arts magnet schools.
