Olin Cafe

The Olin Cafe is a student-run coffee shop located on the Alfred University campus on the second floor of the Olin Building. We offer a variety of specialty coffee, tea, and hot chocolate as well as a selection of breakfast and snack items.

Originally the brainchild of Dr. Amy Rummel and AU graduate student Stefan Nonnenmann and developed by Dr. Rummel's Marketing Practicum class, who will staff and operate the cafe, we aim to provide students and faculty with an accessible and convenient coffee and breakfast option.

We are dedicated to environmental sustainability, and we plan to source our products from sustainable vendors wherever possible. Our coffee is purchased through Reach Trade, a socially and environmentally conscious trading company who sources their products through small farmers and donates a portion of every sale to funding clean water projects across the Americas.
