The Dandelion Seed Collective is a social justice focused community herbal organization that has been providing low-barrier holistic health care services and education in Olympia, WA since 2008. We facilitate the annual Dandelion Seed Conference, a fundraiser supporting community herbal projects that share an anti-racist and anti-colonial lens. We also offer other educational opportunities and provide care and herbs in various capacities. In our work, we aim to amplify less heard perspectives, create space for courageous and vulnerable reciprocal learning, and cultivate connection to land and place in a way that supports an accessible, anti-oppressive herbalism.
For 9 years the Dandelion Seed Collective ran a sliding-scale herbal clinic in downtown Olympia. We recently ended this project, and are working to transition to a new way of providing direct care in a model that is more sustainable and better serves the current needs of our community.
