More about One Team One Fight 4 PTSD

It took 9 years for Keith "SlapShot" Totten and his doctor's to figure out that he had post traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury due to service related missions. All signs seemed like he was having heart issues and the nightmares were nothing new to him, as they happened during and after coming back stateside from the Army.

After seeking help through the Veteran's Affair mental health department and being prescribed multiple medications and classes, he started understanding why so many veterans were having issues.

As technology grew and the internet became the new news, more and more individuals began posting information about veterans returning home with "issues" and the suicides seemed like a weekly viewing.

Keith wanted to find a healthy outlet and also find ways to inspire or help those affected by ruck marching and speaking to them while carrying his late fathers Marine Corps burial flag.
He began ruck marching throughout each city of Lake County, Florida to gain awareness about post traumatic stress and the individuals succumbing to it. He wanted to educate other's about post traumatic stress, offer ways to find help, positive and healthy outlets and to correct the stereo type of those affected with this injury are not loose cannons.

In 2015, Keith Totten called a couple of veteran's and their families to help start a not for profit called "One Team One Fight 4 PTSD". As a team, we want to help inform and educate other's about post traumatic stress in general to all those that are affected. "I believe that knowledge of post traumatic stress can help those affected along with their loved ones". -Keith Totten Daily Commercial interview 2015
