The Orange County Clerk of Courts maintains nearly 2.5 million circuit and county court records for the 9th Judicial Circuit Court. Our collections program is recognized statewide for its effectiveness, as we return millions of dollars that we collect each year through fees and fines to the state as well as various local agencies and programs. As the Information Hub of the Justice System, we keep myorangeclerk.com up-to-date with case information while also providing customers access to their files and all their court needs.

Customers, who consistently give us a 97% or higher satisfaction rating, come to us to pay traffic and criminal fines, initiate or contest a civil case, pursue probate issues and make child support payments. We help customers file domestic violence injunctions and seek help for a loved one with mental health or substance abuse issues. We accept passport applications and issue marriage licenses -- we even perform wedding ceremonies.

We are also accountable to the voters of Orange County, providing checks and balance to the courts that maintains openness and integrity.

Our Clerk of Court is Tiffany Moore Russell. Clerk Russell made history in 2014 as the first African American female Clerk elected in Florida and the first African American Clerk in Orange County.

As Commissioner, and now as a Constitutional Officer, Clerk Russell has a strong commitment to her community. Trained as an attorney, she understands that access to the justice system is crucial, especially for those in the community who are economically challenged. That understanding led Clerk Russell to create the Lydia Gardner Self Help Center. Named in honor of a former Orange County Clerk, the center is the first of its kind in Orange County and provides low cost legal assistance in the areas of family law, residential evictions and small claims to those who are not represented by an attorney.

Continuing her focus on the citizens of Orange County, Clerk Russell sits on both the Domestic Violence Commission and the Domestic Violence Taskforce, working to identify trends and reduce the incidence of domestic violence in the community. She is also a long-time supporter of Harbor House of Central Florida, an organization dedicated to providing shelter to women who are affected by domestic violence.

Statewide, Clerk Russell is a member of several committees, including the Florida Court Clerks and Comptrollers’ Self Help/Pro Se Committee, Legislative Committee and the Judicial Relations Committee, ensuring that issues that directly impact clerk’s offices throughout Florida are addressed.
