Orange County Parent Child Center

The Orange County Parent Child Center, which is based in Chelsea, is one of 15 parent child centers in Vermont. We serve over 500 families each year. Since 1989, families have come to know us and access us as their primary community resource for any topic or need related to children and families.We are governed by a volunteer board of directors and staffed by an Executive Director, seven full-time, and four part-time service providers. Our programs include those offered under the Children’s Integrated Services umbrella, Welcome Baby, Reach Up, Families Learning Together, KidsPlace Supervised Visitation program, and the Parent Information & Resource Center (PIRC). In addition, we offer parent and provider education opportunities, six weekly community playgroups, a Kinship Care support group for relatives caring for a family member’s child(ren), and resources and referrals for families and service providers throughout our region. Furthermore, we provide support to early education programs through continuing education opportunities for providers and consult to programs under Children’s Integrated Services Early Childhood Mental Health. We maintain satellite offices in Bradford and Randolph. We pride ourselves for being responsible stewards of the resources allocated by the State of Vermont and other organizations and foundations in service to families throughout Orange County.
