We didn’t invent the cheesesteak. But we had the original idea of crafting its core ingredient and supplying the booming market on a broad scale. So chances are, if you’ve ever chomped into a cheesesteak, you’ve had one of ours. We’ve been in the middle of the world’s growing fixation for this sublime treat for over 30 years.

Founded here in the City of Brotherly Love—where else?— The Original Philly Cheesesteak Co. opened for business in 1981 when two buddies started producing and delivering sliced steaks to restaurants and delis from a
converted garage in Roxborough. And we’re proud to still be headquartered right here in Philly, still family owned and operated, now in our second generation.

Today, we operate two plants in Northeast Philly totaling 120,000 square feet. Between them, we craft enough raw and fully-cooked steak each day to feed a sold-out Eagles stadium at every home game for an entire season.

And we’re served everywhere—from major restaurant and food service chains, to theme parks, schools, hospitals, and wholesale clubs. Yes, even Philadelphia’s fanatical pro sports franchises and venues proudly serve our steaks. We’re the meat of choice at your neighborhood sub shops, delis, pizzerias, and bars, too—including many of our hometown’s favorite steak joints.
