Ormsby is a city in Martin and Watonwan counties in the U.S. state of Minnesota. The population was 131 at the 2010 census.The community is located between St. James and Sherburn on Minnesota State Highway 4.HistoryOrmsby was platted in 1899, and named after one "Colonel Ormsby, of Emmetsburg, Iowa". A post office has been in operation at Ormsby since 1900.
